Queen Elizabeth 2 at Liverpool 31 May 2004
31st May 2004

At the start of its new European summer cruise programme, Queen Elizabeth 2 arrived in Liverpool on Spring Bank Holiday Monday, and many thousands of Merseysiders turned out to greet her. It was a brilliant summer day and people gathered along both waterfronts and rode the Mersey Ferry to get a closer look.
